65 PRIME

16mm T2.9

Covers Up To ARRI ALEXA 65/265

Designed for ARRI ALEXA 65 / 265

As the first lens in the NiSi 65 PRIME series, the 16mm T2.9 delivers an image circle close to 65mm in diameter, enabling coverage of ARRI ALEXA 65 / 265 Open Gate.

Excellent Compatibility

Compatible with a wide range of modern large-format systems , including cameras such as the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55 and Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 17K 65. It also integrates seamlessly across ARRI Large Format and RED V-RAPTOR / Vista Vision workflows.

①:The NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 has passed the compatibility test with large -format digital cinema cameras such as the ARRIALEXA 265.However, it has not been tested for compatibility with film cameras.

Exceptional Resolution

Advanced optical design and precision aspherical elements deliver outstanding resolution from center to edge across the large image circle, while maintaining a lightweight, compact form.

Ultra-Wide Coverage

In ALEXA 65 / 265 Open Gate, the 16mm T2.9 delivers an ultra-wide field of view exceeding 122°, enabling dramatic scale and immersive camera movement that are difficult to achieve on 65mm-format sensors with more traditional lens options.

Minimal Chromatic Aberration

Across the entire image circle, the NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 delivers APO-level chromatic aberration control. Even wide open, both axial and lateral chromatic aberrations are kept to a minimum, helping ensure clean edges and accurate color rendition.

Impressive Close-Focus Capability

With a minimum focus distance of 0.25m (10”), it enables bold, near-subject compositions. Combined with a bright T2.9 aperture, it performs well in low light and delivers stronger subject separation at close distances, expanding creative possibilities for directors and cinematographers.

Well-Controlled Distortion

The NiSi 65 PRIME 16mm T2.9 is engineered to minimize visible barrel and pincushion distortion. Straight lines remain straight from centre to edge, making it ideal for architectural and interior work where precision matters.

Luminescent Markings for Low‑Light Efficiency

Unique luminescent markings make it easier to locate and adjust the lens in dark environments, improving low-light handling and on-set efficiency.
